CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

For over 24 years, the Chambersburg Ballet has connected communities through inspiring performance, community engagement, education, and training. We are the only dance organization in Franklin County that offers comprehensive training in classical ballet, along with contemporary dance forms. Since its founding, over 600 students have studied - some going on to become professional dancers - and thousands more people have been touched by our performances. We cultivate an inclusive atmosphere, recruiting and accepting dancers of all ages, ethnicities, genders, abilities, and socio-economic levels in an effort to ensure that ballet is accessible to all who wish to dance.

The Chambersburg Ballet is entering a period of growth and opportunity as the founding Artistic Director, Lavinia Reid, stepped down. The Chambersburg Ballet Guild (a 501 c 3 non-profit) assumed operations of the Chambersburg Ballet Theatre (CBT) School in August 2023 and hired a new Artistic Director, Brian Grant, who hit the ground running. In late September 2023, the guild completed a sales transaction for the purchase of the CBT School. We're excited about building the next generation of the Chambersburg Ballet --- and we hope you will join us in this endeavor!

Soaring to New Heights - Ensuring the Next Generation of the Chambersburg Ballet

During the quiet phase (September-December) of our capital campaign "Soaring to New Heights - Ensuring the Next Generation of the Chambersburg Ballet", the Chambersburg Ballet Guild has received $37,000 in pledges over the next three-years (2023-2026). Our goal is to raise $100,000 so we can make improvements to the studio (purchase new marley flooring and shatterproof mirrors), as well as purchase costumes, sets and props for new ballet productions.
